ecdp Membership Survey

At ecdp we know that our members and service users are vital to the success of our organisation.

Your feedback helps to inform our organisational strategy, so we can plan our future direction in 2016 and beyond.

We are currently undertaking an in-depth membership survey to establish what disabled people and those close to them need from us now, and what they hope to see from ecdp in the future.

We are also taking the opportunity to update all of our contact details, including email addresses, to increase the conversations we can have with you about your lived experiences.

The survey process

The survey process involves us contacting all our members by telephone. We have three dedicated, expert survey staff, Jeff, Denise and Marta, who have been on the phone for the past six weeks, engaging with members and recording your views.

The survey has been divided into phases. All phases cover core questions about our current membership offer and the services, benefits and information that members find important.

Marta from the survey team says:

‘People have been so helpful and really open-minded about sharing their views with us and the quality of information that we have been able to gather is really good. It is great to have had this opportunity to contact so many people and find out their views, and we really look forward to speaking to lots more ecdp members over the coming weeks.’

Survey Phase 1

Phase 1 which ran during December and early January had a focus on investigating people's access to the internet and digital technology and how members feel about receiving information and services via the internet and other online methods. This also explored the barriers disabled people face in terms of technology, as well as the world it can open up to them when access is enabled.

Survey Phase 2

Phase 2 which has just started focuses on members’ experiences of employment, barriers to employment, and how they would like to be supported in the future. The survey will run until the end of March.

ecdp would not exist without our members and service users. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all those who have been contacted so far, and also to those who will receive a telephone call in the coming weeks. We hope to share the findings of the survey in Spring 2016.
